To our clients and friends of Cedros Island

Over the years we have enjoyed a healthy fishery of resident species of calico bass, black seabass, and broomtail groupers.

These species and their local population are very susceptible to fishing pressure, and unfortunately, we have noticed a change, in particular of the calico bass numbers available.

We are not certain we are the cause, and it’s maybe a seasonal event, but we don’t want to take chances on these valuable resources important to a healthy marine environment and our sustainable economic activity.

For that reason and to maintain these resources, we are no longer allowing the killing of calico bass, broomtail groupers, or black seabass. All catches of these must be released in the best possible conditions.

Our captains have been instructed to comply with this rule, and the other local companies will support this action.

We do this because we feel responsible to take action before it is too late like it happened in the US, and for that reason, we hope you understand and support this decision.
