As a sportfishing operation owner, nothing relieves the stress of the week as to see our recently arrived guests getting lots of big fish on the first day. Our long time friends Shawn and Brian (7th consecutive year coming) and new friend Charles, got 9 beautiful 27-36 lbs yellowtail early this week, and a few more the next days. Location: El Morro Bank, just a few miles South of our lodge. A combination of trolling and jigging gave better results.

As a side story, the sportfishing companies of Cedros Island met with the new director of this Natural Protected Area; Mario Guerrero, and we are very pleased with our conversations and plans for a sustainable and promising future. Topics and questions such as permits, restrictions, coordination and a brief explanation of how the NPA is going to be directed by him were explained in length.
