Some more pics from last week action. And as an update: two days ago red crab appeared in big numbers, which will probably affect the bite for our next group. On the other hand current guests, avid calico specialists, are having no problem in catching (and releasing) 30-40 calicos per day. Calicos are a different beast, and probably don’t care if they are full, they will chase any lure going by.

Also to note, from our beach during high tide halibut is biting consistently for the last couple weeks. If you are not tired after your fishing day, grab a couple pieces of bait or weedless lures and hit the beach, where you can also use our top of the line Jackson or Ocean fishing kayaks.

Should I repeat that the weather is perfect? That we have vacuum seal service? That there will never again purse seiners or shrimp trawlers will fish here?
