We started with a nice and easy flight from Brown field to Ensenada. After clearing customs it was off to Cedros Island! After a quick clearing by the navy and a quick load by the Cedros Outdoor Adventures crew, we’re on our way to the resort.

First half day we trolled around and chased bird’s, porpoise, and bait.

First full day 7/22 we entered the Cedros Island Yellowtail Tournament. We had a full limit of 15 fish and ended up placing 3rd against some really good teams.

Second full day of fishing 7/23 was when the big fish wanted to play about a mile or two north of the marina.  All the big fish were caught on med or big sized mackerel on a very long soak. No trolling.

Our last day on the island 7/24 that included a half day morning trip. Did really well again north of the marina on long soaked med-large sized mackerels.

Another fantastic trip to the island!  Can’t wait for 2018 to do it again!

Thanks for everything,

Michael Leathers
