Fishing Report, Guest Post, Trip June 31, 2017

I live in Laguna Beach Ca. Words cannot express my incredible adventure on June 31- July 3, 2017. Cedros Isl. is a very special place on earth and that includes everyone on the island especially the staff. So accommodating and friendly.
What I caught in the photos was a 100 lb. Black Sea Bass and a 25lb. yellow tail, how I caught it was easy as can be!
Each with a Yellow approximately 100 yards off shore. I used a 70lb. Test Line on an Rubella jig and a ugly stick. Had no idea what was on the other end of the line pure luck and a good skipper. 100 yards off shore sitting still and casting out about 30 feet from the ponga.
A lucky hit!
