Your Fishing Package Includes:

Transfer round trip from Tijuana Airport to Cedros Island. Our airport transportation guide will meet you AFTER you enter Mexico via the Cross Border Express (CBX) bridge and take you to the plane that has been chartered for you.*

  • Itinerary: This includes a complete list of documents and tickets needed for travel, instructions for how to get them, where & how to meet your plane, what to expect once you arrive at Cedros Island, and more. Print & carry this while traveling.

Transportation while on Cedros Island, back and forth from the airport and port to Baja Magic Lodge. If you want to go to town, we will take you if we have a vehicle and driver available, or it is a ten-minute walk to the center of town.

Fishing three per panga on 27-28 ft. super pangas. Or you can fish 2 per panga for a surcharge of $50 per person, per day, (subject to availability at the time you submit (Info and Release of Liability Agreement).

Experienced and knowledgeable local boat drivers. They know the best spots and will be your guides.

Comfortable accommodations at our private lodge, Baja Magic (double or triple occupancy depending on your group size and room availability).

  • The lodge rooms each have 3 full-sized beds and a bathroom.
  • The cabins each have 2 full-sized beds and a bathroom.
  • The single room surcharge is $150 per day (subject to availability).

All meals while on the island. We offer a full hot breakfast, lunch to go on boats or at the lodge, a 3-course dinner, and snacks. Meals are served family-style but are customizable at your request.

  • For special diets (diabetic, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.) please notify us in advance of your trip as much of our food is flown in.)
  • The kitchen is always open for our clients. We pride ourselves on feeding our clients well. Our staff is friendly and helpful. If you need more food or different food at any time, please let us know!

Purified water and sodas in the hotel and boats.

Friendly staff to prepare your meals, clean rooms, take you to the dock, process your fish, and help carry your gear. One of the owners is usually on-site, and we have a bi-lingual guest services manager.

Seeker rods are available on the island for use by our guests at no cost. Just bring your own reels.

Filleting and vacuum sealing your catch. Fish will be frozen until your return home.

Bringing your fish home: Please bring 1-2 soft-side cooler bags if you plan to take fish.

Free Wi-Fi in all the lodge and cabins. We now have Starlink with an extender, so the internet is much faster than in years past (however you are sharing the network with other guests so please limit use to email and wi-fi phone calls).

Free calls to the U.S. Landline located in the kitchen.

Your Fishing Package Does NOT include:

Cross Border Xpress (CBX) ticket. This allows you to cross the international border via the CBX international point of entry to Tijuana Airport, Mexico. The ticket can be purchased in person at the CBX terminal or online. You can also reserve parking at the CBX terminal here. https://www.crossborderxpress.com/en/requirements.

Mexican Tourist Visa/FMM/I94 This can be purchased at the CBX terminal or online in advance: https://www.crossborderxpress.com/en/I94.

Mexican fishing license. You will need to purchase a Mexican fishing license in advance of your trip. There are a couple of ways to do this.

  • You can purchase this from tackle stores around San Diego harbor such as Fisherman’s Landing.

Alcoholic beverages (you may purchase at the island or bring on the plane but be aware of your weight restrictions of 30-40 lbs. for gear and luggage).

Fishing gear (except Seeker rods, see above). Rod containers don’t fit in the plane. Bundle them together and protect the tips with pipe insulation or similar. They will be transported in the aisle between the seats. Gear Recommendations.

Gratuities. The suggested tip total is about 10-15% of your total package cost. Average tipping model.  Our hardworking staff and guides thank you!

Travel Insurance:  We strongly encourage you to protect your investment and purchase travel to protect against loss due to travel interruptions out of the control of COA and which will not be reimbursed by us (see our complete Change and Cancellation policies below.)

Change & Cancellation Policies

  • A deposit of $900 is due at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
    • Deposits are non-refundable, and within 60 days of departure, non-transferable. 
  • The balance of your trip is due a minimum of 60 days prior to departure.
    • Prior to 60 days from departure, the balance is refundable.
    • After 60 days prior to departure, the balance is non-refundable. However, it can be transferred to a future trip.
  • Within 60 days of travel, we can NOT refund or transfer the cost of any trip that is canceled, delayed, or cut short due to events out of COA’s control, including but not limited to: your work, medical, or family emergencies; actions by the U.S. Government or Mexican Government instituting travel restrictions between or within either country; weather events, etc.
    • The exception: If COA finds it necessary to cancel an entire trip due to a storm we give you the option to rebook during the same season without forfeit of any of your payments, including deposit.
