July 11, 2022, Client Fishing Report, Yellowtail & Calico Bonanza In Full Swing!
By Mike Trotta.
I fished with Cedros Outdoor Adventures from July 8th through July 11th, 2022. The photo is typical of one of the many yellowtail that we caught mostly on irons (in particular mint green/white Tady 45’s). Calico bass fishing was outstanding (WFO) with red lead lead heads with smaller swimbaits being the most effective. From arrival to departure, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was great, the rooms were roomy, comfortable, and the layout allowed for a delightful breeze keeping it cool. Our fish were professionally processed (cleaned to be table ready, vacuum sealed, and frozen). I only wish we could have taken more home (but understand there are weight restrictions on a small plane). One aspect of the trip that was greatly appreciated is the opportunity to fish in the afternoon of the arriving day, and the morning on the departing day. It was surreal to be able to spend 3 very productive hours on the water, and arrive home the same day. Looking forward to returning soon!
