Thank you for reserving a trip with Cedros Outdoor Adventures!

You have booked our Basic Guide Service Package.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $600 is due at the time of booking.
  • The balance is due two months prior to departure.
  • See below for important changes and cancellation policies.

Your Fishing Package Includes:

Ground transfer round trip from the pick-up location at Brown Field Airport in Otay Mesa to Ensenada Airport.

  • Pick-up location: Parking lot of Brown Field Airport, 1424 Continental St, San Diego, CA 92154.
  • You are not flying from Brown Field, but it offers public, long-term parking for $6 per day. If you would prefer us to pick you up at a different location, please contact us. Additional charges may apply.
  • For more details about the day of travel refer to your Itinerary

Flight from Ensenada Airport on a regional airline (Aero Servicios Guerrero)*

  • Transportation on Cedros Island, back and forth from the airport and port to Baja Magic Lodge. If you wish to visit town, we can take you if we have a vehicle and driver available, or it’s a ten-minute walk to the center of town.
  • Three per panga on 27-28 ft. super pangas. You can also choose to fish 2 per panga for a surcharge of $50 per person, per day, subject to availability at the time you submit the Info and Release of Liability Agreement.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable local boat drivers. They know the best spots and will serve as your guides. You can fish for at least 10 hours per day on each full day of your trip. We attempt to provide a half day when you arrive, but the Ensenada plane schedule is notoriously unreliable, and we cannot guarantee that you will get this half day. If this is a concern for you, please consider booking a Premium Guide Package with a charter flight from Tijuana Airport and fish every day of your trip!
  • Comfortable accommodations at our private lodge, Baja Magic (double or triple occupancy depending on your group size and room availability).
    • The lodge rooms each have three full-sized beds and a bathroom.
    • The cabins each have two full-sized beds and a bathroom.
    • The single room surcharge is $150 per day (subject to availability).
  • All meals while on the island. We offer a full hot breakfast, lunch to go on boats or at the lodge, a three-course dinner, and snacks. Meals are served family-style but are customizable upon request.
    • For special diets (diabetic, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.), please notify us in advance of your trip as much of our food is flown in.
    • The kitchen is always open for our clients. We pride ourselves on feeding our clients well. Our staff is friendly and helpful. If you need more or different food at any time, please let us know!
  • Purified water and sodas in the lodge and on boats.
  • Friendly staff to prepare your meals, clean rooms, take you to the dock, process your fish, and help carry your gear. One of the owners is usually on-site, and we have a bilingual guest services manager.
  • Seeker rods are available on the island for use by our guests at no cost. Please bring your own reels.
  • Filleting and vacuum sealing your catch. Fish will be frozen until your return home.
    • If you plan to take fish home, please bring 1-2 soft-sided cooler bags.
  • Free Wi-Fi in the lodge and cabin. We now have Starlink with an extender, so the internet is much faster than in years past (however, you will be sharing the network with other guests so please limit use to browsing, email, and Wi-Fi phone calls).
  • Free calls to the U.S. A landline is located in the kitchen.

Your Fishing Package Does NOT include:

  • Mexican fishing license. You need to purchase a Mexican fishing license in advance of your trip. This can be done in a couple of ways:
    • You can purchase this from tackle stores around San Diego harbor such as Fisherman’s Landing.
    • You can also buy your fishing license online from the Mexican government: https://www.sportfishingbcs.gob.mx. If you encounter issues, please contact Customer Support: English +1 (805) 857-9349; email: fonmar@gmail.com.
  • Mexican Tourist Visa/FMM/I94. The van will stop at immigration on your way to Ensenada. You can get a one-week free tourist visa there.
  • Oversized baggage fee for rods, Ensenada flights: Currently, two rods are free. $100 pesos for each additional rod.
  • Additional weight: You get 50 pounds of weight included in your package, anything over that is about $1 per pound (depending on the exchange rate) payable to the airline company.
  • Alcoholic beverages (you may purchase them on the island or bring them on the plane but be aware of your weight restrictions of 50 lbs. (free) for gear and luggage).
  • Fishing gear (except Seeker rods, see above). Per plane company policy, rod containers are not allowed on the plane. Bundle them together and protect the tips with pipe insulation or similar.
  • Gratuities. The suggested tip total is about 10-15% of your total package cost. Click here for an average tipping model. Our hardworking staff and guides thank you!
  • Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that you protect your investment and purchase it in case you have to cancel or rebook under conditions not allowed by our change policies. Travel insurance is a good way to protect against loss due to travel interruptions outside of the control of COA and which will not be reimbursed by us (see our complete Payment, Change, and Cancellation policy below.)
    • The cost of travel insurance depends on the policy you choose, but it starts at around $120.
    • Carefully check the details of the policy to see what is covered before you purchase. Call your travel agent for recommendations or check out these options (we don’t endorse any specific company or agent):

  • Exception: If COA finds it necessary to cancel an entire trip due to a storm, we give you the option to rebook during the same season without forfeiting any of your payments, including the deposit.
